Macy's Department stores in Chicago, New York, Philadelphia, Minneapolis and San Francisco is offering a unique opportunity to their customers: The Secret Gardens. The show is complimentary to all and is being hosted by Macy's Sunday, March 23 - Sunday, April 6, 2014.
After an extremely long winter in Chicago, I looked forward to seeing some color in my life. Living in the Midwest, our winter landscape replicates a Tim Burton movie: grays, blacks, whites... basically the dead zone.
Kudos to the marketing people who thought of this idea and presented the Secret Garden in such a beautiful display.
I took my two sons and a friend to visit the garden in Chicago this past weekend and was impressed by the complexity and creativity with the unique floral arrangements. Here are just a few of the unique gardens themes within the Secret Garden: Orchids and Epiphytes, Evergreens and Conifers, Succulents and Cacti, Bulbs and Broadleafs. During the display, there are workshops, cooking demonstrations, lectures and much more.
