FABULOUS FOYERS! IDEAS 5 - 8


Have a flat boring wall? It's so easy to add depth and interest by installing some 4" x 4" wood pieces, painting all components the same color and then adding pops of color with fresh flowers. Love it!

This is an amazing use of a small space. Instead of having solid walls, I like the fact this vestibule has windows on the side with transom windows on top accented with crown molding and picture frame molding. Very simple but very functional!

Shopping at flea markets, antique stores and yard sales you can find some great vintage furniture pieces. This look works beautifully with the vintage chest replica table lamps, mirror, chandelier and classic hydrangeas. Always pair in odd numbers.

Very creative use of taking a blank wall adding built in cabinets with seating bench for extra storage. Create drama with sconces and beautiful art work.

FABULOUS FOYERS! IDEAS 1 - 4

Foyers are one of my favorite small delights! They allow the home owner to introduce their home to family, friends, neighbors and guests with their own creative style...in 5 items or less. Great rooms come in small sizes!

Greet your guests with simple, clean elements. I love the contrast between the dark floors and white chest accented with dark hardware. The 2 stools allow for people to sit and put on their shoes, this is the splash of color for the foyer.

There are several wonderful items that are done well in this foyer. First, the detailed prairie front door contrasted by window side panels. The tray ceiling with trim work adds depth. I know this costs $$$ but, the ceramic tile floor is stunning!

This look can be used in older homes or newer homes. The half walls allow definition yet separation. Adding a curved arch or keep it simple with a straight soffit continues the intrigue.

Don't be afraid to install double doors! The rich dark colors are offset with the window paned doors and bronze door hardware. Add personality with print lamp shades.

COOL USES FOR YOUR KITCHEN DRAWERS, CABINETS & SPACES


Convert your closet into a customized pantry. Shelves allow for extra food storage, special serving dishs and cooking appliances. I love the pull out drawers where you can store linens, place mats or odd shaped kitchen tools!

Don't have a built in pantry? Convert a cabinet into your storage space for spices, consumables or store kitchen appliances and serving dishes. An organized kitchen, functions smoothly!

My family and I are BIG into recycling. This pullout garbage can drawer allows you to separate your garbage from material to be recycled. An extra bonus to this drawer: storage for your trash bags! Don't have a pull out drawer, you can still recycle using 2 garbage cans in your kitchen: one for garbage, one for recycling. This is our style.

Where's the spatula? This drawer is on organized overload and it's fantastic! Your kitchen utensils, forks, knives, spoons co-habitat but in separate compartments. GENIUS!

How cute is this? Converting a space in your kitchen into a private retreat for your furry children. Let's face it, your pets are always by your side. Life becomes easier when you create a "safe haven" in your kitchen for them to hang out and watch you cook. No accidently stepping on tootsies!

Do you have an awkward space in your kitchen that you do not know what to do with it? Convert in into a mini Butler's pantry by adding additional storage, wine fridge and counter space. BONUS: you get a work area for your lap top!

WOW! IS THIS REALLY MY LAUNDRY ROOM?


As a Realtor, I see these dark, claustrophobic spaces but, they do not have to be. Add style and functionality to that deserted hallway leading to the garage. The cabinets replicate the door with their 3 panels and soft warm grey and white color choices. Always add light with a window, you can't go wrong.

This L shaped laundry room is zen like. It exudes warmth, beauty, style, functionality and storage!

The one great thing about a laundry room is you do not need that much space. Convert a closet into your dream laundry room. A stackable arrangement conserves space but you can also install side by side washer & dryer with a counter top and cabinets above.

Narrow space? You can absolutely make the best of it! Check this out, cabinets on both walls, utility sink, side by side washer & dryer. Looking for color? Paint the walls! Extra splash of color? Add some in the floor tiles.

Rover's BFF! A laundry room? Absolutely! Check out the ceramic tiles which allow for easy clean up for people & doggy footprints. You can multi-task by giving Rover a bath and doing laundry. Life could not be better ;)
