VISIT THE CHICAGO BOTANIC GARDEN DEC 21 -22, 2013!

Looking for something fun to do with the family this weekend versus the mall? I highly recommend the CHICAGO BOTANIC GARDEN, located in Glencoe, Illinois. From the moment you enter the grounds, 750,000 twinkling holiday lights illuminate your path to the main building. During the warm months it's great to wander the outdoor paths of the gardens but, during the chilly winter time, we explore the indoor gardens. During the Holiday season the Gardens have a magnificent Winter Wonderland Express exhibit which features model toy trains which winds through more than 80 miniature Chicago-area landmarks, including Navy Pier, Soldier Field, Chicago Stadium, the Chinatown Arch, the Art Institute, the South Shore Cultural Center, the Frank Lloyd Wright Robie House, and much more! During my family's visit we relax and enjoy lunch in their Garden Cafe which serves seasonal delights and offers a full breakfast and lunch menu.
During December, The Botanic Gardens are offering 1/2 off their parking admission; which makes your visit affordable at only $10 per car! Maybe I'll see you there this weekend!
